What can I expect when upgrading to Windows 10?

If you have assistive technology software installed on your computer that is older than the latest versions of JAWS 16 and MAGic 13, Windows 10 will detect it and stop the upgrade. At that point, you must contact your software provider for more information.

We have created a free upgrade utility that will scan your computer for earlier versions of Freedom Scientific software and clean these components from your system. You can then restart the Windows 10 upgrade, and when finished, either run JAWS or MAGic, or reinstall your software (if upgrading from Windows 7) and continue using it the same way as before the upgrade.
