Helping 500 People in Kenya

The first project sponsored by Get Sight, Give Sight! was a project in Kenya. A donation of 500 pair of Focusspec glasses went to the city Eldoret. The leader of the project was Lillian Mujemula, an Optometrist from the municipal health center in Dodoma, Tanzania.

Lillian who has previously worked together with FoV on a project in her homeland, visited the city of Eldoret and trained 3 local vision guardians. These three people are now capable of performing eye examinations. When someone is diagnosed with a sight problem, which can be helped by a pair of glasses, the trained guardians will be able to provide the person with Focusspecs.
